Tort Law
Civil liability from negligence to nuisance — the law that holds wrongdoers accountable and makes victims whole.
About This Subject
Tort Law governs the civil wrongs that cause harm to persons, property, and reputation. The University of London examiner typically sets problem questions involving multiple parties — a driver, an employer, a landowner, a manufacturer — and expects you to identify every potential claim, every defence, and every head of loss.
We teach you the structure of negligence from duty to remoteness, then build out into occupier's liability, nuisance, defamation, and vicarious liability. By exam day, you will see the legal issues in any fact pattern within seconds.
What You'll Be Able To Do
- ✓ Identify concurrent tortfeasors and apportion liability correctly
- ✓ Apply the correct causation test to multi-cause injury scenarios
- ✓ Advise multiple claimants against multiple defendants in one structured answer

Why University of London LLB Students Choose London Law Lectures
